Several quakes reported near Vancouver Island

Three intense quakes, and also a few littler ones, struck late Sunday and early Monday off the bank of British Columbia, Canada, close Vancouver Island, the U.S. Geographical Survey is detailing.

As per the USGS, the main shudder – size 6.6 – hit around 10:39 p.m. PDT around 135 miles (218 kilometers) southwest of Port Hardy, Canada. It happened at a profundity of around 6.8 miles (11 kilometers)

Under 40 minutes after the fact, a second shudder with a recorded extent of 6.8 struck adjacent, around 122 miles (197 kilometers) southwest of Port Hardy. It happened at a profundity of around 6.2 miles (10 kilometers.)

A third 6.5-greatness tremor was accounted for at 11:22 p.m. PDT around 138 miles (223 kilometers) southwest of Port Hardy. Its profundity was additionally around 6.2 miles (10 kilometers).

A few littler shakes pursued, including a 4.9-greatness quake at 11:36 p.m. PDT.
